This is my specialty! If your internet fails:
- All core automations continue to work: Your motion sensors, light schedules, and security alerts inside the home will still function.
- Your physical switches and remotes work: You can still control everything using your light switches and handheld remotes.
- What *doesn't* work: You won't be able to control your home from your phone *when you are away from home*, and voice assistants (like Alexa) will stop working, as they require the cloud.
Your home remains functional and secure, which is the most important part.
